Guindulman


GUINDULMAN is an old town situated in the eastern part of Bohol, 84.6 kilometers from Tagbilaran,the capital city of the province. It is said that this town used to be called Guindulman, meaning "overtaken by darkness or in visaya "DOOM" or "kangitngit" because of many ACASIA TREES growing in the town proper during the haspinic time.
It is bounded by the towns of Candijay, Anda and Duero. It is a coastal town which is considered a 4th class municipality with a population of 32,355 people according to the 2007 census and is under the 3rd Congressional District.

The town has a land area of 11,770 hectares and politically subdivided into 19 barangays, namely: Basdio, Bato, Bayong, Biabas, Bulawan, Cabantian, Canhaway, Cansiwang, CASBU, Catungawan Sur, Catungawan Norte, Guinacot, Guio-ang, Lombog, Mayuga, Sawang (Poblacion), Tabajan (Poblacion), Tabunok, and Trinidad.
